ABOUT PROGRAM

Join the Research Fellow Program for a chance to earn a Master of Science or PhD degree at VinUniversity.
The Master of Science and PhD programs at VinUni, offered by the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) are designed for young talents passionate about advanced research and innovation in technology.
The programs aim to nurture a new generation of experts and academic leaders capable of creating new knowledge, addressing real-world challenges, and driving sustainable impact for Vietnam and beyond.

Full Scholarship & Living Stipend
Students pursuing the Master of Science and PhD programs offered by the College of Engineering and Computer Science will be granted a 100% tuition scholarship and a stipend ranging from 240,000,000 to 360,000,000 VND per year (depending on the program)

ADMISSIONS INFORMATION

  • Academic Background:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or related fields with strong academic performance, or equivalent evidence of academic excellence.
  • English Proficiency:
Minimum IELTS 5.5 (or equivalent) OR possession of a Bachelor's degree taught entirely in English.
  • Demonstration of AACC Qualities:
A – Outstanding Ability
A – Aspiration
C – Creativity
C – Commitment
  • Preferred Qualifications:
Strong research skills such as data analysis, programming, or academic writing are an advantage.

ADMISSIONS INFORMATION

Hold a valid IELTS certificate with a minimum score of 5.5 (or an equivalent certificate) at the time of application submission. Additionally, within 12 months from the date of enrollment, you must submit an IELTS certificate with a minimum score of 6.5 (or an equivalent certificate—according to Appendix II of Circular No. 18/2021/TT-BGDĐT).
  • Step 1: Prepare Your Application Documents as Listed Below
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV): In English, summarizing your academic background and professional experience.
  • Degree Certificate(s) and Academic Transcript(s): Must be translated and notarized in English if the original documents are not in English.
  • Contact Information for Two Referees: Professors/lecturers who have taught or supervised you in research related to the program, or managers who have overseen your work relevant to the program.
  • Statement of Purpose (SoP): Written in English, clearly stating your goals and motivation for joining the program.
  • Supporting Documents Demonstrating Research Skills (if any): Highlight data analysis, programming, or report-writing skills—these should be reflected in your CV, particularly if you have participated in projects or published papers.
  • Proof of English Proficiency: Meet one of the following conditions:
Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher from an English-taught academic program.
  • Step 3: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview with VinUni faculty. An application fee of 2,000,000 VND applies to candidates who are invited and agree to proceed to the interview round.
