Enhanced Rock Weathering
for Carbon Removal

Turning Farmland into Climate Solutions

Laying the
Groundwork

BumiX Carbon is the first ERW initiative in Vietnam, founded by a Vietnamese-born Stanford graduate. This first-mover advantage has drawn interest from local universities and research centers. We are in advanced talks with SNV Vietnam and Vietnam Rubber Group for pilot sites.

Deployment
Strategy

Our ERW deployment strategy prioritizes data integrity, transparency, and stakeholder trust - building credibility from the ground up
By building credibility from day one, we ensure that our carbon credits will be trusted and valued in the market.

“Massive CO₂ Burden
and Degraded Farmland”

“ Southeast Asia is among the regions most vulnerable to the effects of climate change - UNESCO “

33%

land degraded
of Vietnam’s agricultural land is degraded (acidic, nutrient-depleted), leading to lower yields and farmers resorting to more chemical fertilizers. (Vietnam Soil Science Association).

564

million tons
To reach its climate commitment, Vietnam alone needs to remove at least 564 million tons of carbon dioxide by 2030 (Vietnam’s National Climate Strategy until 2050).

Solution

Using Vietnam’s abundant basalt rock resource, bumiX Carbon offers innovative Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW) technology to speed up the natural process of soaking up CO₂ from the air and turns it into rock minerals in the soil >10,000 years; making it an affordable carbon sink.
“Basalt has been shown to increase crop yields
by 12-16% in trials University of Sheffield (UK)”

Co-Benefits

  • Boost soil nutrients higher crop yields
  • Neutralize acidity less fertilizer needed
  • Climate-smart rural development

Key benefits include

Restoring Soil Health
Community Livelihoods
Natural base Climate Tech - Removing and Sequestrating Carbon
